'The Getaway', A Collection of Photographs by Sean Hunter
Come get away with DC based photographer, Sean Hunter, as he takes you along on a journey through his photographs revealing a collection of his travels from the past year. Following his premier exhibit last May entitled, 'Fireflies', this will be Hunter's second photography exhibition, entitled, 'The Getaway'. LCCA Community meeting: Art + Wine + Investments

Born in New York City, Lily deSaussure holds a BFA from the University of San Francisco and California College of the Arts. She earned her MFA from American University where she specialized in embroidery, installation and photography. deSaussure has exhibited her work at the Katzen Museum, DC; Meat Market Gallery, DC; Transformer Gallery, DC; Aqua Wynwood, Miami; 111 Minna Gallery, San Francisco; Cruz Gallery, Santa Fe; Renowned Gallery, Portland; Fort Worth Community Arts Center, TX; Dialogue Gallery, VA. Publications include Sculpture Magazine, Studio Visit Magazine (juried by Carl Belz), Washington City Paper, Brightest Young Things (interview) and DC Modern Luxury. deSaussure is the recipient of numerous awards and honoraria including a Mellon Research Grant and an Artist Fellowship from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. She was recently an artist in residence at Red Dirt Studio in Mt. Rainier, MD.
Before entering into arts administration, Lily deSaussure was involved in arts education where she worked for an educational services company and a non-profit that brought art programs to San Francisco public schools. She wrote 1st–5th grade art curricula for Galileo Learning in collaboration with the De Young Museum in San Francisco. After relocating to Washington, DC, she taught undergraduate students at American University. deSaussure was a director at Project 4 in Washington, DC before moving on to Susan Calloway Fine Arts, where she is currently Assistant Director.
In addition to her work as a full time gallerist, deSaussure is engaged in several independent curatorial projects and is planning a solo show in DC in the fall of 2011.

When not supporting our favorite local artist and hosting an inspiring event, Fathom Gallery is often utilized by non-profit and for-profit organizations to foster their own creativity. Some recent organizations that held retreats or offsite meetings in the gallery and outdoor area include National Public Radio, American Association of Architects, and the Washington Center of Performing Arts.
