ON THE SURFACE
Angela graduated from The School of Visual Arts in New York City and has been working as a design professional for the past 13 years. Her career began at Doyle Partners, where she learned everything from print, web and package design. While in NYC, she had the opportunity to work with clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Martha Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Scholastic Publishing.
While in DC, Angela has worked for firms small and large and has gained a wealth of knowledge in the printing industry. She has designed and produced high-end packaging for Audi & Volkswagen and The Motley Fool. Angela loves the finer details in design and is always keeping up on new techniques and trends.
AT THE CORE
In 2008 and 2010, Angela biked across the country with the non-profit, Bike & Build, to raise money and awareness for affordable housing. This led her to move to DC in 2011 to pursue a job in bicycle advocacy. Since then, Angela has combined her love of bicycles and design. She has teamed up with a number of local bike shops and advocacy groups in the DC metro area to work on marketing & branding and advocacy campaigns.
Angela races for an all women’s cycling team, Sticky Fingers. In her spare time, you’ll probably find her biking the streets of DC and Virginia in pink spandex. USA Cycling recognized Sticky Fingers as the 2014 National Women’s Team of the Year for their efforts to get more women involved in cycling and the team’s contributions to the cycling community. Angela loves beer and trying new restaurants. She also enjoys visiting museums and galleries, live music and the company of her two cats.
