The Wabi Sabi Society is an evolving collection of passionate creatives that organizes pop up performances, movement experiments, and interactive dance experiences around the Washington D.C. area, founded by Jamie Garcia at the beginning of 2018. Wabi-sabi is a Japanese way of life focusing on the acknowledgement and appreciation of the “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.” Thus the Wabi-Sabi Society produces artistic experiences rooted in this philosophy. Each is never without flaws and impossible to repeat, embodying the essence of wabi-sabi.
