You are cordially invited to join the Fathom Gallery Thursday (May 15th, 2014) for a cocktail reception celebrating Superscapes; artist Nima Veiseh’s solo exhibition of post-modern abstract paintings. Your Eventbrite RSVP is required to attend. Wine, beer, & light hors d’oeuvres will be served. Please feel free to share this invitation. Superscape is a post-modern abstract style that dissects subjects both in space and time, and reconstructs them using the entire pallet of colors. Instead of restricting the pallet to create movement and contrast, all colors must be used to recreate the concept. Just as natural light is actually the composite of each color in the rainbow, it is only by their juxtaposition before our eyes that we see the movements and colors in between. In Superscape forms, scale is not a luxury but a necessity, allowing the observer to see the whole picture, where the details may appear irrelevant and incomplete. Ultimately, the movement is created not by the static painting itself, but by the interaction of the observer with the painting from a stationary focal point. The richness of the textures and colors come from the mixed-medium, bricolage technique that requires layers spray and acrylic.
